Large rooftop weathervanes look best on large barns or multiple-story homes. They measure at least 46 inches. Mid-sized rooftop weathervanes usually measure between 32 and 46 inches and work well for single-story houses or smaller barns. The smallest rooftop weathervanes add charm to smaller structures, like gazebos or utility sheds. These generally measure under 30 inches.
